Handmade Damascus Steel Roman-inspired gladius replica sword is used to represent the primitive roman foot soldiers. The Gladius was one of the most popular weapon types among Roman Legions and Gladiators alike. Its short, stif blade is good for breaking a spear and intense forward stabbing thrusts. The gladius ruled close combat fighting for many centuries. The blade is made of 1095/15N20 Damascus Steel that has been folded & layered approximately 400-520. The handle is made of Rose wood with steel and brass spacers. Sword comes with an included leather sheath.
